Enter The Lion’s Gate on 8:8!
Every year when the sun moves into Leo an energetic gateway opens known as the Lions Gate or the Lions Gateway Portal.
It brings with it Starseed Energy, charged by the Sun’s exalted placement, and capped with the rise of Sirius - Earth’s brightest star.
As an astrologer who’s business is called Eighth House Wisdom there is a natural synchronicity with this astro event. Because the exact portal opening happens each year on 8:8.
The potential of the Lions Gate energy reminds me why I study and practice astrology.
We humans frequently say that life does not come with a guidebook or a map. But I beg to differ!

The Fixed Star Sirius
That’s why the Lions Gate always happens during Leo season in the northern hemisphere.
Sirius is also known as the Dog Star. It is part of the constellation Canis Major. Which means “Greater Dog” in Latin. Right now you can see Sirius in most early morning skies. It also in close proximity to the Constellation Orion, specifically near the end of his belt, in the sign of Cancer.
This year Sirius made it’s appearance in the morning sky on July 7. Hits is peak on 8/8 and closes the portal on 8/12.
7/26 is known as the Galactic New Year and it sets up a Supercharged Stargate Portal. This energy elevates any efforts toward a cosmic or spiritual reset!
The energy activates when the star Sirius rises with the morning Sun. The portal peaks when Sirius rises just before the Sun. During the peak energy the star activates the star at the tip of Orion’s belt as well as powerful grid points on Earth.
Today on 8/8, Sirius rises before the Sun in the morning horizon linking multiple star energies and elevating human consciousness as a whole!
"The Dog Days Of Summer"
Because Sirius makes its annual appearance every summer in late July - early August, the time is known as the “dog days” of summer.
The early morning rising of Sirius adds to the Sun’s power during the middle of summer. Bring both heat and enlightenment during its stay.
During ancient times, the Egyptians prepared for the swelling of the Nile river when ever Sirius rose in the early morning sky. It brought a welcome flood of waters along with the sun rays to sustain the valley.
The Egyptian culture was so deeply influence by the study of the stars that the construction of many Nile Valley structure mirror and reflect the constellations. During the Lion’s Gate, Sirius will sit high in the sky over top of the capstone of the Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx.
I long to live in a culture that takes its lead from nature and the heavens. So I channel this desire in spreading this knowledge to you!
The Astrology of the Leo and The Lion’s Gate

The Lion’s Gate is a true blessing to all who uses it’s power. It can also intensify any action taken during this window - So Be Intentional!
In astrology, Sirius is known as the star of success, fame, honor and riches! When you combine fame and fortune with the Leo focus on creativity and Sun’s position in its natural ruling house and everything turns to gold!
This star reflects the energy and properties of the Great Benefic Jupiter and the fiery initiator Mars. The portal activation pushes the Sun’s warm glow and ardent nature in to overdrive - in a good way!
Leo is ruled by the Sun and is a Fixed, Fire Sign. This means that it expresses great strength and fortitude alongside a highly active nature and passion.
Leo rules the heart, the color yellow and corresponds to the Solar Plexus Chakra (of course!). This is one of the First 4 Chakras that hold the key to unlocking your highest potential.
You find its location just above your navel and it is the place in your body where you experience gut reactions and personal power.
Why This Matters...
The Lion’s Gate peak happening on the 8th day of the 8th month also activates double 8 and infinity vibrations. The number 8 is the balancer of the the spiritual and material world.
Yes it does activate power and money, but it also focuses on prosperity through organization, discipline and management. These are some of the lesser known but equally important qualities.
Just turn an 8 on its side and you have the infinity sign. Complete with never ending energy exchange and identical circles on either side.
